The Inspiration Agency has been appointed to support Bournemouth and Poole College with public relations consultation and crisis communications following a competitive tendering process.

The new partnership will see the Bournemouth-based public relations and marketing agency provide communications support for one of the South’s largest further education providers, as the college looks to further cement its regional reputation.

Debbie Smith, Chief People Officer: Culture, Communications and Community at Bournemouth & Poole College, said:

“We’re incredibly proud of who we are – a vibrant, inclusive and forward-thinking college at the heart of our community. From our exceptional staff and inspiring students to our growing range of courses and investment in state-of-the-art facilities, we have so much to offer – and communicating that clearly and effectively is vital.

“The Inspiration Agency impressed us with their depth of expertise in both proactive public relations and crisis communications, as well as their understanding of the local landscape and the college’s priorities and values. We’re excited to work with them to showcase the positive impact we make across Bournemouth, Poole and beyond.”

Founded by Louise Seager in 2011, The Inspiration Agency has built a strong reputation for delivering creative, results-driven marketing services to clients across Dorset, Hampshire and the UK.

This latest contract win marks another significant milestone for the agency, which has expanded rapidly in recent months. In August 2024, it acquired the award-winning Darren Northeast PR, bringing on board an experienced team and expanding its capabilities to include a full suite of PR services – including press release and award writing – complementing its existing offer of branding, design, websites, SEO and social media marketing.

This move was followed just weeks later by the integration of clients and staff from Octima Marketing, further consolidating the agency’s reach across sectors including education, technology, and business-to-business services.

Louise Seager, Inspiration Agency owner and Creative Director, said the expanded capabilities of the team – which specifically includes experience in public relations and crisis communications for the education sector – were instrumental in The Inspiration Agency’s successful bid for the college tender.

She added:

“Bournemouth & Poole College is a well-respected institution with a huge impact on the region’s future talent, and we’re delighted to partner with their team, providing ongoing consultancy and responsive communications solutions.

“Our role will be to help the college navigate any communications challenges if they arise, as well as helping them seize media opportunities, amplifying their voice and sharing their stories.”

Bournemouth & Poole College serves thousands of students across its two campuses, offering vocational and academic qualifications, apprenticeships and adult learning. It is recognised for its focus on employability and strong links with industry and the local community.
