Many of us spend a lot of time telling our prospective customers what we do. Perhaps you have even got round to telling them what problem you solve, but do you know what your prospects really want to hear? They want to hear from your existing customers. They want to KNOW that you can do what you say you can and that you will do it well.
Would you employ someone without checking their references – I hope not. These days there are many ways to use Customer Reviews as part of your marketing strategy. There are sites like Trustpilot, Tripadvisor and Checkatrade. Customers can leave reviews on Google or on social media platforms such as Facebook. You can request reviews from your customers and add them to your website or create social media posts from them.
Whatever way you do it I would suggest that you make requesting Customer reviews part of your regular marketing activity and make sure they are easy for prospective customers to find.
A word of warning….a good review is marketing magic, but a bad review can be truly damaging. Any public forum for reviews will give you the chance to respond to reviews and also to request that they are removed if they are false, but keep an eye on them!
