Many website providers, including WordPress, Wix, SquareSpace and others, offer Template designs which mean you don’t have to be a designer to get a good-looking website. However it can be worrying to think that other businesses will have the same website as you. Especially as many of these templates are categorised into sectors, so your competitors could end up with a website which looks just like yours!
The good thing about templates is that you will still be able to use your logos, text and images and you can usually change the colours to match your brand and they often give you the option to remove sections or move things around. And if you really need something changing then a developer will be able to adjust a template for you.
There are some more complex businesses for whom a template just won’t work, so make sure it will do what you want it to do and contain all the information and functionality you need before you get started with a template. The main benefit to a template website is that it will be cheaper than a bespoke design, so it is a great option for start ups.
