Several concepts will usually be worked up including icon, colour palette, typography, and straplines. These will be refined to a final concept. Again, costs for brand development can vary, but with us, this stage costs from £350 + VAT.

Brand Assets & Guidelines

Once the brand has been developed you will need a set of Brand Assets including the logo in various colourways, layouts, and file formats so that it can be implemented across all communication tools. In addition, you will need some form of guide for the use of the brand. This could be a simple sheet with fonts and colours, but a larger organisation will need full Brand Guidelines which includes Vision and Values, Tone of Voice, Imagery, Rules of Implementation to ensure consistent use of the brand by all parties; internally and externally.

The cost of a full set of logos should be included in your branding cost, but cheaper branding services may charge extra for the original outline files or variations on layout or colour. The cost of your brand guide may also be included, but again the more comprehensive the guide the more it will cost. With us a full set of logos is included and our Basic Brand Guide costs £50 + VAT. More extensive Brand Guidelines are quoted bespoke depending on the client’s needs.

Brand Collateral

It is very important when considering Branding to factor in the cost of your Brand Collateral. This could just be some business cards and digital assets such as a Facebook Page cover. However, for a larger organisation it could include a variety of printed items, signage, vehicle liveries, uniform, packaging etc.

Design and production costs will need to be factored in. It is also worth noting that you may incur project management costs for the roll out of a brand in a large organisation which could include Press & Media for the communication of the re-brand.
