SEO or search engine optimisation is the art (some call it black art) of optimising your website to rank more highly in search engines. If it works for your business then it is a very effective way of reaching new customers, however it does not work for all businesses, or some markets are so saturated that it is a very expensive endeavour. For us SEO always starts with research, we’ll find out how many people are searching for your products or services in Google and what the competition looks like, then we can give you a clear, straight forward advice (with costs) on whether SEO is going to work for you or not. And if it is – we can do it!
Pay-Per-Click or PPC – this is where you pay the search engine (let’s face it normally Google) for a top page ranking position for specific keywords. This can be a great way to find new customers and best of all it is immediate – as soon as you put your payment card details in your advert is at the top of Google….assuming of course that you have chosen the right keywords, dealt with all the settings and negative keywords, created optimised landing pages, designed a well-worded advert and of course out-bid the competition! OK, so we admit it is trickier than it sounds, luckily we have PPC experts with 15 year’s experience so we can manage your PPC campaign for you, but we won’t recommend PPC unless it is right for your business.
In 2018 everyone was talking about GDPR and it put a lot of people off email marketing! To be honest it didn’t make a huge difference to us, because the way the General Data Protection Regulations want you to manage your email campaigns is always the way we recommended anyway. Don’t buy random lists, don’t add people that haven’t asked to be emailed, don’t spam people with content they are not interested in. We recommend email marketing as a way of keeping in touch with prospects. Share valuable content – either your expertise and advice or perhaps carefully selected special offers.
